Antique Lathback Windsor armchair of good colour and proportions.
A good example of Thames valley chair making from the mid to late 19th Century.
Standing full height, with no wear to the legs, at 113 cm at the back., having a generously sized Elm seat of 48 cm wide at a height of 46 cm. The width at the front of the arms is 58 cm.
The chair is in generally good sound condition having had a traditional repair to the top of one of the back laths with the addition of a metal plate due to old woodworm and the right hand arm has also been infected with woodworm in the past but is sound and secure.
Very comfortable chair.
