Good example of an early six plank coffer of traditional form and good colour.
The front has been carved at a later, but early, date with a pattern of intertwined vines forming circles in the Celtic taste.
Various small repairs throughout it’s long life add to it’s charm.
The size is 45 inches long (115 cm) standing 21 inches high (54 cm) with a width of 14 inches. (35 cm)
In good condition with marks of use, small repairs and general age. The lock plate is from a modern lock but also adds to it’s charm.
Good interesting example.
