A lovely Elm topped table consisting of an early 19th Century oak base in original distressed yellow paint with the top formed from an old 18th/early 19th Century Elm door.
The length is 177 cm (70 inches) long with a with of 83 cm (33 inches) wide and stands 74 cm (29 inches) high.
Plenty of leg room under this one!
Seats six adults comfortably or eight at a squeeze.The colour, grain and density of the top suggest that it is actually Wych Elm which is more unusual to find though is interesting as a species because it resisted Dutch Elm disease longer than the rest of the Elm species.
