Yes. It has the odd blemish and scratch to show the character of its age but no rips or tears, unsightly stains or smells so remains a bit of a handsome old grandee.

All it needs is a scattering of old kilim cushions, a good book, a glass of something chilled and you.

Cara has just completed her seven lime plaster Buon Fresco paintings to the verso of the Glastonbury Abbey stone - The brief was Fantasy Artists Residency and her chosen location was Camelot.

One a week over seven weeks is some achievement.

Made for the Savoy (we know this from writing on the inside of the frame) but having graced a fine Gentlemans outfitters in Bath for a generation this truly wonderful and very large antique would grace any home or any setting.

The Art of Science. .

A collection of truly marvellous 19th century Scientific equipment and Specimen Slide Drawers direct from a private estate. The Specimen Drawers are packed full of interesting slides guaranteed to keep anyone entertained for hours.

There is a Beck microscope and two early field oil lamp microscopes by Baker - not in supurb condition but worthy of academic merit - together with a good mahogany microscope box and a small mahogany box containg additional slides and a rather terrific heavy Brass freestanding microscope.

I think these historic and totally fascinating pieces should ideally be sold as a job lot.

I have been asked about this all week so here it is.

A truly marvellous piece of social history with this rather wonderful 19th century carved gothic solid oak Bier in really rather remarkable condition. Although it's days of carrying our departed love ones have gone it really would make the most fabulous market stall/display stand.

Fully functioning and worm and wobble free.
