A Wonderful 18th Century Country House Georgian Wing Armchair

Lovely old deep seated Georgian Wing chair full of rustic charm. 76 cm wide at front; 120 cm high back with a seat depth of 50 cm. Well used and looking desirably shabby and tired for that but plenty of life left in it as it is or a good project for further restoration.  The frame is generally good with one wing a little loose.  Georgian caster were added many years ago with the legs shortened to accommodate them.  The material is tired and tatty and the seat is slightly sunk but still perfectly comfortable. A good character piece.

Country, Elm Topped, Farm House Table

A lovely Elm topped table consisting of an early 19th Century oak base in original distressed yellow paint with the top formed from an old 18th/early 19th Century Elm door.
The length is 177 cm (70 inches) long with a with of 83 cm (33 inches) wide and stands 74 cm (29 inches) high.
Plenty of leg room under this one!
Seats six adults comfortably or eight at a squeeze.
The colour, grain and density of the top suggest that it is actually Wych Elm which is more unusual to find though is interesting as a species because it resisted Dutch Elm disease longer than the rest of the Elm species.
