C.1600 a wonderful Inlaid oak box chest of glorious colour. The top drawers we believe were originally dummy to form a deeper box section and have been later reformed to opening drawers with a shallow top box opening. Retaining the original lock but sadly no key. This glorious antique comes to the market in ‘as found’ condition previous owners have undergone some restoration to the drawers and box lid with later hand forged hinges replacing the original iron loops. There are two pieces of moulding which need replacing to one of the side panels but otherwise drawers and runners work well making this a functional as well as very beautiful period piece.  123 wide x 83 high x 61 deep
