- A pair of classic elegant genuine French 18th century Louis XVI carved and painted bergere armchairs. Stamped to underside these wonderful antique chairs are structurally sound but as per images would ideally benefit from recovering to taste. They show signs of numerous dinks and old repairs being French and nearly 250 years old traces of old woodworm (which has been treated) and note have at some stage been over painted but that said, these are quite seriously elegant old aristocrats which have been owned by a titled French family since they were made.
