Direct from a prestigious Country Estate this amazing four poster bed is a complete delight for those of a romantic persuasion. The mahogany posts are believed c. 1900 but the Kashmir paisley silk frame was designed to replicate the original bed housed at the Estate centuries earlier. The cost was in excess of £10k in the early 1980s.
The bed measures 200l x 150w x 230h and is seen photographed with a brand new 1k double Sealy mattress and base. The bed does accommodate a 5ft mattress which was in situ at the point of collection by ourselves but too marked to be of use.
The silk is worn but serviceable and although showing age is delightful romantic in its charming faded grandeur. The headbosrd would benefit from a professional clean.
