A simply amazing 16th Century 1st Renaissance French Dowry Chest with a series of truly wonderful panels in the Moresque Style. The chest has at some part in its very long life undergone a conversion into a desk with replacements to the top, base and obviously the rear. This said the front and side facades are completely original and therefore represent a very wonderful medieval work of art with the most exquisite carvings.
