A pair of large and extraordinarily detailed late 19th century cast stone eagles with glass eyes. Being sold as a pair.
An early form of reconstituted stone figures with finely formed detail.
This pair of Eagles, though designed to adorn entrance pillars or a building, were probably used inside and painted to give a more realistic effect. They also have glass eyes to help the realism.
They stand approximately 20 inches high on their rocky perches with a wingspan of 21 inches.
